Vehicles Parked in Guemes Ferry Lot Stolen and Damaged

Anacortes Police Department reports four incidents:

February 1: A light blue 1994 Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot at the Guemes Island Ferry overnight. The vehicle's license is WA 977WUT. Police have no suspects.

February 1: Another vehicle parked at the Ferry lot was damaged overnight. The owner of a 1992 Ford Explorer reported that their driver's side door handle had been damaged, possibly by thieves trying to break into the vehicle sometime during the night.

February 2: Another vehicle at the Guemes Island Ferry parking lot was reported damaged in what is believed to be an attempt to steal the car. The 1997 Dodge Caravan had been parked in the lot for three days, according to the owner. It is believed the damage occurred on January 31.

February 5: A blue 1993 Ford Taurus, WA 735NCR, was taken from the Guemes Ferry parking lot sometime since February second or third. Officers are asking Ferry riders to report any suspicious activity or riders to the Department at 293-4684.

One of the vehicles had an extra key hidden.
